Pickle Juice Uses

pickle juice uses

Who ate all the pickles? Don’t you just love pickles? I’m sure you do because you landed on this page. Now that the pickles are gone, what can the pickle juice be used for? Pickle juice uses, some, I am sure, will surprise you.

Salads

This first idea is one I use often. Use a little bit of juice in your potato salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, and any other salad you like. Start with just a small amount and then add more if needed.

You can use the pickle juice instead of vinegar in salad dressings and sauces.

Freeze it

Freeze the pickle juice in ice cube trays. Why? So it can be added to other beverages or soups. Even add it to the water when boiling the veggies, like cabbage (good with corned beef).

They also make a great pickle popsicle if you add a stick.  Who would not want a pickle popsicle on a hot summer day?

Sports Drink

This goes along with the pickle popsicle idea. After playing outside and sweating, the pickle juice will help to replace lost electrolytes.

You don’t have to freeze it for this to work, just drink the juice. This is good for the times you overindulge and are hungover. The juice will rehydrate and replace electrolytes.

Cramps

Do you get cramps after your workout? Drink some pickle juice. It will also help with leg cramps and restless legs. Yep, try it for those PMS cramps too.

Home Remedies

If you have the Hiccups – take a swig.

For heartburn, sip the juice it will help balance your ph levels.

Need things to “move” a little better, drink pickle juice for a laxative.

Marinate or Brine

With a high acid content, pickle juice works great to marinate Meat. Or use it to brine fish and even soak your cheese in it; this works best with soft white cheese.

Cleaning

Shine up those copper pots and pans with pickle juice.

Add a little bit to the washing machine instead of vinegar to remove stubborn orders from clothes.

Try it on the grill to help get it clean.

Plants

Some plants need acidity soil, so add a little pickle juice to the soil. Make sure it is not poured on the plant because this could be harmful to the plant.

As I come across more pickle juice uses, I will make sure to add them here, so keep checking back. Please bookmark this page so you can keep coming back to it.
